When you go to a B&B, you expect to get a fancier than normal kind of breakfast, don't you? Something a little different, a little inventive. Something that looks like it took time to make.
How about some French Toast Waffles? Not the kind made by pressing a piece of egg-dipped bread into your waffle iron. No, these are French Toast slices made out of actual waffles! (I just so happened to have a bunch of previously frozen waffles made from a Krusteaz Belgian Waffle Mix.)
Here's what you need:
4 Eggs
1/2 Cup Milk
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
Leftover Belgian Waffles or Eggo-Style Waffles
Defrost frozen waffles for 1 minute in the microwave. Mix the Eggs, Milk, Vanilla & Cinnamon together in a shallow bowl. QUICKLY dip the waffles into the egg mixture (Do not let them soak). Place the waffles onto a griddle or frying pan and cook on each side until they're slightly browned and the egg appears to be cooked. To be sure they are thoroughly cooked in the middle, press them down onto the griddle using your spatula a few times.
You get all the flavor of French Toast with the great texture of a waffle. Serve with some syrup to dip and a sliced banana.
These were a big hit in my house this weekend! I hope you'll try them too!

I didn't leave a comment there, but my FAVORITE post on your blog is the one about the foaming hand soap! I got some foaming hand soap for about 75 cents each on clearance at Marshalls several months ago because they had Christmas labels. I was planning to try some other soap in my dispenser after I finish up a bottle to see if it's the dispenser or the soap..........I'm SO excited to see that it's the dispenser!! I'll be 'decorating' mine with pretty scrapbook papers and keeping my dispensers around for a long time to come!! Thank you, thank you! Oh!
