Amazing Mirror Transformation

This transformation is so dramatic that I can hardly believe it!

I found this antique framed mirror at a yard sale for $5.00.  The guy said his wife always meant to do something with it but it just sat in their basement.

I first took some basic white craft paint and gave the whole thing a bit of a primer.

It's already better!  Next, I had some leftover Martha Stewart Aegean Blue Satin Paint from a previous (pre-blogging) shelf project and I painted the wood.

Next, using some shiny silver craft paint, I painted the raised plaster portions of the frame.  Then, to give the frame a really professional, finished look, I painted over the blue portion with some semi-transparent pearl craft paint.

Here's the final result!

One more time, BEFORE & AFTER:

    1. Without seeing everything in your room, it's hard to say, but black and silver always look nice in a grey room!
